As you may have heard, earlier today, indie synth pop darlings CATALOGUE MODELS broke up when Thomas kicked fellow band mate David out of the band, reportedly for a lack of work effort. Well the good news is that Thomas is back with his new band, GO GO GODZILLA, and in fact just released a “Greatest Hits” album including two new hit singles titled I Thought We Where Friends and Met Up In! It’s a departure for the artist as the songs reach new emotional levels never heard from the young artist before. “I’ve never played something this loud before. I was really mad.” The new songs, entitled “Lost the Plot (Dave Sucks)” and “Met Up In” show both a angry and tender side of the famed artist. And while many assume the lead title off this album is directed at former band mate David, Thomas was acting coy. “No, I mean, well, yes, but, no, but ya know? He’s definitely lost the plot, he has no motivation for music anymore other than random beeps and boops. I’ve tried. I really have, but I just couldn’t get to him. Smiley Face would’ve been such a instant classic too if it made it out, but as it stood we had 3 songs, all done by me and some anthropomorphism inspired songs by him, so if you want to just assume 1 and 1 is 2 or something then sure.” Some choice lyrics from the new album from GO GO GODZILLA include “I thought we were the greatest of friends” and “your own shit is quite horrid”. Even if it’s not, we’ll take it as a mean but inspired album against former CATALOGUE MODELS band mate David.
